Why is timing so important for Tree Surgery?

Tree surgery and pruning at recommended times is important as it ensures that the fresh wounds of the tree are only exposed for a small period of time. In the winter months, when the trees are dormant and there are less insects around it can protect the tree from disease and infection while allowing the tree to heal faster. It is also easier for our rope access tree surgeons to see the branches without all the leaves in the way.
